Detail H2 Manufacture From Natural Gas
The production of hydrogen from natural gas comprises two parts: one is the production of reforming gas by the reformation of natural gas and steam. The other is the purification of H2 by pressure swing adsorption ( PSA) . After compressed and desulfured, natural gas mixes with steam. Then the mixture reforms the matter of natural gas into the reforming gas of H2, CO and CO2 at the function of the nickel catalyst and at the temperature of 820~ 950 . The reforming gas can convert CO into CO2 by conversion and becomes converted gas. Then H2 with high purity can be acquired by PSA of the reforming gas or the converted gas.
The production of hydrogen from natural gas is a comparatively traditional technology which used to be employed in the supply of hydrogen on a large-scale, for example, in the supply of hydrogen over 5, 000m3/ h. As per the characteristics that Chinese hydrogen users are scattered and on a small scale, we have developed the technology employing the reformation of natural gas and steam which needs little investment and low consumption. It is suitable for the small and medium-sized deamnd of hydrogen. In the areas that are rich in natural gas, the production of hydrogen from natural gas is the best choice. Our corporation has already established this kind of unit and tansferred the technology to the domestic and the overseas users.
